Which Niches Advertise on Telegram in 2026: The Archive Ranked by Creatives, and What Changed in 90 Days
Trading, crypto, retail, education, VPN: the niches ranked by the number of Telegram sponsored messages in our archive of 637,719 creatives, which niches gained and lost share since July, and how to read the numbers without mistaking them for ad spend.
If you plan a Telegram campaign, one question comes before the budget: who else is already advertising to the same audience? Our archive of sponsored messages answers a version of it. It records what our crawler saw in public channels, sorts each creative into a niche automatically, and shows which niches fill the feed. This is the ranking as of 29 September 2026, the change since July, and the limits of what the numbers mean.
What is counted. A creative is one distinct sponsored message. The archive holds 637,719 of them from 102,313 advertisers, seen across both cabinets: about 81% ran through the Gram cabinet (515,096) and 19% through the euro cabinet (122,542) (stats). It counts creatives, not budgets or impressions: one creative that ran for a month counts once.
The ranking#
| # | Niche | Creatives | Share of the archive |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Trading signals and Forex | 129,012 | 20.2% |
| 2 | Gambling, betting and casino — banned by Telegram’s ad policy (clause 5.6) | 112,207 | 17.6% |
| 3 | Crypto | 46,373 | 7.3% |
| 4 | Retail and e-commerce | 39,293 | 6.2% |
| 5 | Education | 28,217 | 4.4% |
| 6 | VPN | 25,765 | 4.0% |
| 7 | Bots | 24,041 | 3.8% |
| 8 | Auto | 16,402 | 2.6% |
| 9 | Fashion | 13,272 | 2.1% |
| 10 | Gaming | 13,211 | 2.1% |
| 11 | News | 12,273 | 1.9% |
| 12 | Tech | 12,016 | 1.9% |
| 13 | Health | 11,817 | 1.9% |
| 14 | Finance | 10,717 | 1.7% |
| 15 | Real estate | 8,981 | 1.4% |
| 16 | Jobs | 7,252 | 1.1% |
| 17 | Travel | 5,866 | 0.9% |
| 18 | Marketing | 3,806 | 0.6% |
The 18 rows cover 81.6% of the archive; the rest is smaller niches and creatives our classifier labels "other". Source: niches and stats, 29 September 2026. Gambling, betting and casino are listed as one row because Telegram bans them in every cabinet: the archive records what appeared, not what is allowed.
What stands out. Trading and Forex signals alone are one creative in five. With the banned category and crypto they make almost half of the archive (45%). The next tier is ordinary commerce: retail, education, VPN and bots, each roughly 4–6%.
What changed since July#
We compared the first 30 days of the daily series (1–30 July) with the last 30 (31 August–29 September) (trends). Read shares, not raw counts: the crawler recorded about 62% more creatives per day in the later window, which is partly wider coverage.
| Niche | Share, July | Share, September |
|---|---|---|
| Retail and e-commerce | 4.1% | 9.7% |
| Education | 4.2% | 5.6% |
| News | 1.4% | 2.2% |
| Crypto | 8.0% | 7.4% |
| VPN | 4.9% | 3.6% |
| Auto | 3.6% | 1.9% |
| Bots | 2.8% | 1.4% |
| Trading and Forex | 23.8% | 20.2% |
Retail more than doubled its share, while trading gave up nearly four points. That pattern can mean a real shift or a change in what the crawler reaches, and we cannot separate the two from the archive alone.
How to use it#
- Find your niche's crowd. Open the niche page, for example retail or crypto, and look at the creatives and the advertisers behind them.
- Read a big number as competition for attention, not proof of profit. Trading has the most creatives, but the archive says nothing about how many of them paid back.
- Do not read a small number as an empty market. Marketing, travel and jobs are about 1% or less each. That can mean room, or little demand.
- Check the rules before you copy an ad. Telegram's ad policies apply to every cabinet; for one niche in detail see crypto ads on Telegram.
- Budget from cost data, not from the archive. For prices see what Telegram Ads costs.
FAQ#
Which niche advertises most on Telegram? In our archive, trading and Forex signals: 129,012 creatives, 20.2% of 637,719.
Does the ranking show how much each niche spends? No. It counts distinct creatives seen by our crawler, not budgets, impressions or results.
Why do the shares change from July to September? Advertisers change, and so does what our crawler reaches: it recorded about 62% more creatives a day in the later window. We treat shifts as signals to check, not as facts about the market.
Why are gambling and betting in one row? Telegram's ad policy bans them in every cabinet, so we group them as a banned category instead of ranking them as niches.
Where do the numbers come from? From the public Telegram Ads Spy API endpoints linked above, as of 29 September 2026. Niches are assigned automatically.
